We use a paper appointment book and a counter register right now. How do we move over?

You move at your own pace. You can add your services, stylists and existing customers directly in doublesixOS, and our team helps you set it up during onboarding. Most salons run the paper book alongside the system for the first week or two until the team feels comfortable, then switch over fully. There is nothing to import in a special format, you just start entering new bookings in the system from day one.

Can the interface and customer messages be in Urdu?

Yes. The whole platform switches between Urdu and English in one click, with full right to left support for Urdu. WhatsApp messages to customers, receipts and staff communications can all go out in Urdu. It was built for Pakistan from the start, so Urdu is not a limited version or an add on, it is the same full system.

How does sending WhatsApp to customers work, and do they need to install anything?

Your customers receive messages on the regular WhatsApp app they already have on their phone. They do not need to install anything new, create an account or remember a password. From your dashboard you can send appointment reminders automatically and send offer blasts or notices to your whole customer list in one click, in Urdu or English.

Is our data safe and private?

Yes. Each business’s data is kept separate using row level security, so you only ever see your own salon’s information. It is stored on a secure cloud and backed up automatically every day, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

How do stylist commissions work? Can different stylists have different rates?

Yes. You set a commission rate per service, per stylist, or both, and the system keeps a running total throughout the month as services are billed. At month end you open the commissions summary and the numbers are already done. Different stylists can have different rates for the same service, and senior stylists can have higher rates than juniors, all managed from one simple settings screen.

Can customers get appointment reminders automatically, or do we have to send them manually each time?

Appointment reminders go to customers on WhatsApp from the doublesixOS dashboard. You can send reminders for upcoming appointments and follow up messages after a visit without the receptionist having to type and send each one individually. This keeps your chairs full and reduces no shows without adding work to your front desk.

What devices and internet do we need?

Any phone, tablet or laptop with a web browser works, so there is no special hardware to buy. It runs on a normal internet connection, and because it is a Progressive Web App, recent data is cached so basic tasks keep working if your connection drops for a while, then sync once you are back online.

How long does setup take, and do you train our team?

We set the system up with you and configure it around how your salon works, so you are not starting from a blank screen. We then train your team over call, screen share or WhatsApp until they are comfortable. The interface is simple, so most teams pick it up quickly.

What happens to our data if we ever decide to leave?

Your data belongs to you. You can download your records and reports as PDFs at any time, and if you ever decide to stop, we will provide a copy of your data. There is no lock in.
